Theunis Janszn's father was Jan Jacobszn Koolhaas and his mother was Maijke Antonisdr van Uijthoven. His maternal grandparents were Anthonis Willemszn van Uijthoven and Trijntje Jacobsdr N.N.. He had two brothers named Jacob Janszn and Cornelis Janszn. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died about 1613.¹
