Adriaan was born on February 12th, 1824 in Capelle (Noord Brabant).1  Adriaan's father was Tomas Konings and his mother was Adriana Ramstijn.  His paternal grandfather was Michel Konings and his paternal grandmother is Johanna de Bruijn; his maternal grandfather is Jacobus Ramstijn and his maternal grandmother was Martina Mes. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Jacques, Machiel, Thomas, N.N., Jacoba, Johanna, Maria and Elisabeth.  He was the sixth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 30 on October 17th, 1854 in Utrecht.1
