Jan was born in 1719 in Dussen and his baptism took place on January 8th, 1719 in Dussen conducted by Reverend Mattheus Peijpers.1  Jan's father was Willem Aertse Bastiaenszn Kindt and his mother is Huijbertje Rommen van Anker.  His paternal grandfather is Aert Bastiaenszn Kindt and his paternal grandmother was Jannetje Willemsdr Oversteegh; his maternal grandparents were Rom van Anker and Adriaentje van de Kamer. He had two brothers and a sister, named Rombout Willemszn, Aart and Johanna.  He was the third oldest of the four children.  Jan is no longer alive.
