Bastiaan Aertszn was born in 1688 in Dussen and his baptism took place there on February 22nd, 1688 conducted by Reverend Johannes Vechovius.1   His godfather was Peter Bastiaenszn Kindt and his godmother was Aeriaantje Camp. Bastiaan Aertszn's father is Aert Bastiaenszn Kindt and his mother was Jannetje Willemsdr Oversteegh.  His paternal grandparents were Bastiaen Kindt and N.N. N.N.; his maternal grandparents were Willem Joostzn van Oversteegh and Neeltje Willemsdr N.N.. He had a brother and five sisters, named Willem Aertse Bastiaenszn, Anneke Aerts Bastiaensdr, Anneken Aerts Bastiaensdr, Theuntje Aerts Bastiaensdr, Theuntien Aerts Bastiaensdr and Johanna Aertsdr.  He was the youngest of the seven children.  Bastiaan Aertszn is no longer alive.
