Aert Aert was born about 1352 in 's Hertogenbosch.1  Aert Aert's father was Aert Janszn Kievits van Doveren and his mother was Elisabeth van Herlaer.  His paternal grandparents were Jan de Oude Kievits and N.N. N.N.; his maternal grandparents were Gielis van Herlaer and N.N. N.N.. He had two brothers named Gielis and Marcel.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died about 1400.1
