Arijken Arijaen Meertensdr was born about 1605 in Herwijnen.1  Arijken Arijaen Meertensdr's father was Arien Meertenszn de Jongh and her mother was Maijken de Jongh.  Her paternal grandparents were Meerten Adriaenszn de Jongh and Marieke Allertsdr Kempen. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Maerten Ariessen, Govert Arienszn, Marijken Arien Meertensdr, Engeltje Ariensdr, Wilhelmina Ariendr, Maeijke Ariensdr and Neeltke Ariensdr.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.1
