Jan Hendrik was born in January 1743 in Amsterdam and his baptism took place there on January 23rd, 1743 conducted by Reverend Hermanus van Garel.1   His godfather was Jan Hendrik Hambeuken and his godmother was Johanna Margreta Florisdr. Jan Hendrik's father is Harmen Adam Huene and his mother was Aaltje Horst.  His paternal grandparents were Adam Huene and N.N. N.N.; his maternal grandparents were Hendrick Janszn Horst and Hillighjen Gerritsdr N.N.. He had a brother and a sister, named Jan and Margreta.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had a half-brother named Hendrik Antoni.  He died at the age of 59 in August 1802 in Amsterdam.  The funeral took place on August 10th, 1802 in Amsterdam (RK, St. Anthonis kerkhof).1 1
