Dirk Janszn was born in 1686 in Sprang-Capelle and his baptism took place on September 29th, 1686 in Capelle (Noord Brabant).1   His godmother was Maycken Lourisdr. Dirk Janszn's father was Jan Dirck Peeterszn van der Hoeven and his mother is Ida Adriaansdr Verheijden.  His paternal grandparents were Dirk Peters Gerritszn van der Hoeven and Peeterke Jans Woutersdr de Bont; his maternal grandfather was Adriaan Verheijden and his maternal grandmother is N.N. N.N.. He had a brother and a sister, named Adriaan Janszn and Petronella.  He was the oldest of the three children.  Dirk Janszn is no longer alive.
