Willem Pieterszn was born in February 1709 in Woerden and his baptism took place there on February 3rd, 1709.1  Willem Pieterszn's father was Pieter Corneliszn de Haan and his mother was Aagje Jansdr van Rossum.  His paternal grandfather is Cornelis Pieterszn de Haan and his paternal grandmother was Marrigje Tijmensdr van Campen; his maternal grandparents are Jan van Rossum and <Unknown>. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Cornelis Pieterszn, Pieter Pieterszn, Hannis Pieterszn, Johannis Pieterszn, Cornelis Pieterszn, Jannigje Pietersdr, Marrigje Pietersdr, Grietje Pietersdr and Marrigje Pietersdr.  He was the second oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 70 in August 1779 in Loenen.  The funeral took place on August 24th, 1779 in Loenen.2 2
