Lena was born in 1770 in Andel and her baptism took place there on September 16th, 1770.1   Her godmother was Maria van Haaften. Lena's father was Joost Willemszn van Haaften and her mother was Elisabeth Ariens Roza.  Her paternal grandparents were Willem Joostzn van Haaften and Helena Arijesdr van Tilborg; her maternal grandparents were Arien Govertszn Roza and Maria Jansdr van Ouwerkerk. She had three sisters named Maria, Anna and Maria.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 58 on August 26th, 1828 in Andel.2
