Nicolaas Willemszn was born in 1654 in Rijswijk (NB) and his baptism took place on February 7th, 1654 in Giessen.1 2  Nicolaas Willemszn's father was Willem Claeszn Donckersloot and his mother was Barbara Ariensdr van Beeck.  His paternal grandparents were Claas Henricszn Donckersloot and Haeske Petersdr Hoogh; his maternal grandparents were Arien van Beeck and Herberke Ariensdr N.N.. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Adriaan Willemszn, Cornelis Willemszn, Herberke Willemdsr and Barbara Willemsdr.  He was the oldest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Philip Willemszn, Philip Willemszn, Hendrick Willemszn, Aeltjen Willemsdr and Haeske Willemsdr.  He died about 1696 in Dussen.2
