Aertge was born about 1608 in Veen.1  Aertge's father was Wouter Adriaenszn van den Biesheuvel and her mother was Marijcke Willemsdr Gautends.  Her paternal grandparents were Adriaan Janszn van den Biesheuvel and Mechteld Dirksdr N.N.. She had a brother named Adriaan Wouterszn.  She was the older of the two children.  She died before 1641.1
