Matthäus was born on December 14th, 1744.  Matthäus' father was Georg Aisenbrey and his mother was Margarete Stierle.  His paternal grandparents were Matthäus Aisenbrey and Barbara Oberbauer. He had four brothers and a sister, named Johann Georg, Johannes, Johannes, Andreas and Juliana.  He was the youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 65 on June 16th, 1810.
