Lawrence Briggs

Lawrence was born in 1893 in Leeds, Yorkshire.¹ Lawrence's father was Thomas Briggs and his mother was Sarah Elizabeth Smith. His maternal grandparents were Charles Smith and Mary Ann Storey. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Harry, William, Mabel and Edna. He was the second oldest of the five children.
