Daniel's father was Jacob Mohr and his mother was Anna M Stettler.  His paternal grandfather was Johann Herman Mohr and his paternal grandmother is Suzannah; his maternal grandparents were Christopher Stettler and Catherine M Masser. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Benjamin, Thomas, Solomon, C, Jacob, Johannes, Herman, Anna, Elizabeth, Magdalena, Maria, Margeretha and Maria.
