Hansa's father is Amarchand Otamchand and her mother is Bhagerati Ramchand.  Her paternal grandparents were Otamchand Lakha and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents are Ramchand Trikam and Vhali. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Hasmukhrai, Pravinrai, Jaya, Bhadravanti, Purnima and Kokila [Coquila].  She is the fourth oldest of the seven children.
