Laxmikant's father is Kanji Gina Padhiar and his mother is Kapoor. His paternal grandparents were Gina Khushal Padhiar and Hemibai Praggi Waghela. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Jaicinh, Kantilal, Jayantkumar [Jaiantcumar], Hariganga, Manibai and Jaya. He is the third youngest of the seven children.
