Sarojvanti's father is Tulcidas Jechand Jethva and her mother is Venibai.  Her paternal grandparents are Jechand Valji Jethva and Jassoda bai. She has two brothers and three sisters, named Harakhchand, Mathuradas, Hiragauri, Mukta [Muctabai] and Kamla. She has two half-sisters named Madhu and Mahalaxmi.
