Harigangabai's father is Bhagvandas Kayanchand Chudasama and her mother is Puribai Dulabhdas Jethva.  Her paternal grandparents are Kalyanchand Hemchand Chudasama and Ratanbai; her maternal grandparents are Dulabhdas Narcinh Jethva and <Unknown>. She has two brothers and a sister, named Puspesan, Himatlal and Rasilabai.  She is the second oldest of the four children.
