Dolly's father was Samuel Marks Heiser and her mother was Julia Nathan. Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Heiser and Sarah Levy; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Nathan and <Unknown>. She had a brother and five sisters, named Albert, Florence, Ethel, Lily, Millie and Marie. She was the second oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 81 on February 13th, 1964 in Johannesburg.¹
