    • Excerpt from the 1880 Iowa Census recorded on 10-12 July 1880, Mills County, Iowa.
Mary Ann was born on August 28th, 1831.  Mary Ann's father was James Piles and her mother was Margaret English.  Her maternal grandparents were Richard English and Ann Coppie. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named William, Richard, Nathaniel , Jim, John, James, Isaac, Osker, Maria, Susanna and Sarah.  She died at the age of 65 on December 13th, 1896.
