Mr John Page

John was born on September 25th, 1586 in Middletemple - England. John's father was Mr Richard Page and his mother was Mrs Susanah Syckerling. His paternal grandparents were Mr John Page and Mrs Audrey Redding; his maternal grandparents were Mr William Syckerlyn and <Unknown>. He died at the age of 90 on December 18th, 1676 in Watertown.

      Was the first constable of Watertown, being made so by the Court, September, 1630, and was adm. freeman, May 18, 1631. "..was from Dedham county, Essex, with wife/2 children, whose sufferings in the first winter were duly thought of by his former minister, blessed John Rogers." His house was burn, April 21, 1631. They moved to Groton, Massachusetts in 1662 where he was a selectman. After the burning of Groton in King Philip's War in 1675, he returned to Watertown.
