Henry was born on October 7th, 1869.  Henry's father was James Walker Oxley and his mother was Margaret Ann Turner.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Oxley and Ellen Walker; his maternal grandparents were John Turner and Hannah Farrar. He had three sisters named Margaret, Mabel and Lilian.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 71 in 1940.
