William Dawes

William was born in 1848 in NSW, Australia. William's father was Phillip Dawes and his mother was Sarah Jane Austen. His paternal grandparents were Aaron Dawes and Elizabeth Bannister; his maternal grandparents were James Austen and Elizabeth Unknown. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James, Aaron, Alfred, Caleb Charles, Philip Henry, Harriett and Sarah Jane. He was the seventh oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 82 on August 29th, 1930.
