William Burt

William was born in 1896 in Stone, Kent, England. William's father was Samuel Burt and his mother was Caroline Slingsby Booth. His maternal grandparents were William Booth and Caroline Slingsby. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Frederick, Ernest, Nellie, Caroline and Annie. He was the fifth oldest of the six children.
