Walter was born on February 24th, 1934 in Stepney, Middlesex.1  Walter's father is Walter H Stephens and his mother is Lusitania R Horncastle.  His maternal grandparents were William Alfred Horncastle and Elizabeth Sarah Sheldrake.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 65 in August 1999 in Tower Hamlets, London.2
