Jane was born in 1778 in Salisbury, Wiltshire and her christening took place on December 28th, 1778 in Saint Thomas, Salisbury, Wiltshire.1 2   Jane's father was Abraham Pinhorne and her mother was Jane Banger.  Her maternal grandparents were William Banger and Sarah. She had two brothers and a sister, named George, James and Maria.
