Ann was born on March 24th, 1792 in Kendal, Westmorland and her christening took place there on July 1st, 1792.1 2   Ann's father was John Gott and her mother was Elizabeth Addison. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, Joseph, Mary and Isabella.  She was the oldest of the six children.
