Joseph Carslake

Joseph was born in 1740 in Sidmouth, Devon.¹ Joseph's father was Henry Carslake and his mother was Elizabeth Bampfield. His paternal grandparents were Henry Carslake and Dorothy Lee. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Henry, William, John, Bampfield, Elizabeth, Anna and Anna. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 17 in 1757.¹
