Thomas was born on October 4th, 1793 in Braintree, Essex and his christening took place on November 7th, 1793 in Independent, Bocking, Essex.1 2  Thomas' father was Thomas Aylen and his mother was Mary Riley. He had a sister named Hannah.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 60 in 1853 in Witham, Essex.3
