Antanas was born on August 13th, 1928 in Kauno raj.Dulkių km. and his christening.  Antanas' father was Mykolas Gaižauskas and his mother was Veronika Liutkutė Gaižauskienė.  His paternal grandparents were Prosenelis Gaižauskas and Gaižauskienė. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Juozas, Pranas, Stasė, Zofija, Onutė, Antanina and Regina.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  He died from cancer at the age of 57 on February 1st, 1986.  The funeral took place in Babtai Kauno raj..  He was buried in Babtų kapinėse.
