Robert was born on November 22nd, 1914 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and his baptism took place on December 18th, 1914 in St.Mary Abbey Church, Nuneaton, Warwickshire.1  Robert's father was Charles LONG and his mother was Minnie Ethel MOSELEY.  His paternal grandparents were Robert LONG and Sarah PEARCE; his maternal grandparents were Thomas MOSELEY and Hannah BRITTEN. He had a brother named Joseph.  He was the older of the two sons.  He died at the age of 77 in 1991 in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.2
