Jonathan was born in 1869 in Epwell, Oxfordshire.¹   Jonathan's father was John HUNT and his mother was Alice HUTT.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas HUNT and Maria <UNKNOWN>. He had five brothers and a sister, named William, Thomas, George, James, Frederick and Emma.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.
