Rose was born on December 11th, 1901 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and her baptism took place on September 22nd, 1905 in St.Mary Abbey Church, Nuneaton, Warwickshire.1 2  Rose's father was Frederick CHINNER and her mother was Charlotte PARDINGTON.  Her paternal grandparents were Clement CHINNER and Mary Ann DALE; her maternal grandparents were Jonathan PARDINGTON and Harriett WEST. She had three brothers and a sister, named Frederick, Ernest, Henry and Amy.  She was the oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named James, Sylvia and Mary.
