Nellie was born on March 29th, 1887 in Bollington, Nr.Macclesfield, Cheshire.1  Nellie's father was Thomas BRIERLEY and her mother was Elizabeth HALL.  Her maternal grandparents were George HALL and Catherine LAWRANCE. She had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas, Kate and Elizabeth.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 71 in 1958 in Barnet, Hertfordshire.2
