Joseph was born on March 6th, 1899 in Bedworth, Warwickshire.¹ Joseph's father was Thomas BONE and his mother was Hannah MELLORS. He had four brothers named George, Thomas, Andrew and Arthur. He was the youngest of the five sons. He died in Australia.
