Gerardo, known as Ginggo, was born on November 15th, 1963.  Ginggo's father is Gerardo (Gingging) dela Vina Valmayor and his mother is Lolita (Lita) Dacumos Pomar.  His maternal grandfather was Catalino (Nene) Cabanas Pomar and his maternal grandmother is Narcisa (Narcing) Dacumos. He has two sisters named Maricris and Quitet.  He is the second oldest of the three children.
