Jacob was born on April 24th, 1662 in Plymouth, Plymouth, Massachusetts and his baptism took place on April 24th, 1662 in Barnstable, Barnstable, Massachusetts.1   Jacob's father was John Thompson and his mother was Mary Thompson.  His paternal grandfather was John Thompson and his paternal grandmother is Mrs John Thompson; his maternal grandparents were Francis Cooke and Hester Cooke. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Adam, Peter, John, Thomas, Peter, Mary, Esther, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mercy and Lydia.  He was the eighth oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 64 on September 1st, 1726 in Middleboro, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts.  He was buried on September 1st, 1726.1 1
