Matilda was born on September 18th, 1854 in Lot 12 Anglican Church, Port Hill, Prince Edward Island, Canada.1   Matilda's father was Ambrose Boyle and her mother was Mary Ann Boyle.  Her paternal grandparents are Boyle and Unknown Boyle. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, Isaac, Ambrose, Sarah Jane, Ellen Maria, Mary Ann, Elizabeth, Judith, Jane and Elizabeth.  She died at the age of 79 on October 12th, 1933.1
