Cora A. was born on September 5th, 1874 in Milton Plantation, Oxford, Maine.¹ Cora A.'s father was Elbridge Sylvester Buck and her mother was Sarah West Farnum. Her paternal grandparents are John Atwood Buck and Hannah Cummings; her maternal grandparents were Nathaniel Jackson Farnum and Bathsheba Farnum. She had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Elbriedge Llewellyn, Gilman Farnum, Herbert Alphonso, George Elmer, John Jackson, Earl Albertie, Clinton Sylvestor, Adelaide L., Melissa Jane, Basha F., Sadie Mae, Edith L., Capitola and Matilda Ruth.
