Roque was born on January 14th, 1933 in Cerro Largo - RS. Roque's father was Alberto Carlos Schneider and his mother is Maria Jung Flach. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Schneider and Regina Bornczewski. He has six brothers and five sisters, named João Nelsindo, Ivo Alberto, Saturnino, Ernani, Jacó Libaldo, José Inácio, Natália Bernadete, Ermelinda Regina, Joana Nelsinda, Lucila and Maria Dolores. He is the third oldest of the twelve children.
