Yaakov was born in 1886.  Yaakov's father was Chaim Margaliot and his mother was Blima Braunstein.  His paternal grandparents were Gedalyahu Margaliot and <Unknown>. He had a brother named Gedalyahu.  He died  due to Holocaust at the age of 56 in 1942 in Buczacz, Poland, today in Ukraine.
