Nechama was born on May 28th, 1914.  Nechama's father was Manuel Leo and her mother was Zipora Shechter.  Her maternal grandparents were Israel Shechter and Miriam Zvia Shteinberg. She had two brothers and a sister, named Israel Solomon, Herzel and Miriam.  She died at the age of 92 in 2006.
