    Jed and Michelle Tauber of Alpharetta announce the birth of their daughter, Carly Reece, on Sept. 14, 2004. She weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces and was 21 inches long.
    Carly is the granddaughter of Wladimiro and Rica Pieniek of Cumming, Ga., and Harvey and Susan Tauber of Atlanta. She is the great-granddaughter of Violette Levy of Atlanta.
    A naming ceremony was performed by Rabbi Hayyim Kassorla at Congregation Or VeShalom on Feb. 11. Carly was given the Hebrew name Chaya Rica in memory of her great-grandmother, Claire Rooder, and in honor of her grandmother, Rica Pieniek.
