Thomas was born in 1834 in Elloughton with Brough East Yorkshire and his baptism took place on June 22nd, 1834 in Welton East Yorkshire.1 2   Thomas' father is James Williamson and his mother was Ann Elizabeth (Williamson).  His paternal grandparents are Thomas Williamson and Dorothy Nicholson. He has a brother and two sisters, named William J, Mary Sophia and Jane.  He is the oldest of the four children.
