Walter was born on March 21st, 1880 in Llanwnog Montgomeryshire Wales.1   Walter's father was Thomas Watkins (Farmer) and his mother is Maria Davies.  His paternal grandparents are Richard Watkins and Ann Humpheys. He had a brother named Alfred.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died from cancer, Colon, at the age of 62 on May 14th, 1942 at 62 Grosvenor Rd, Meir, Stoke on Trent.
