Henry was born about 1880 in Woolwich Kent. Henry's father was Henry Walker (b Old Brompton Gas Worker) and his mother was Sarah Jane Fulcher (b Norfolk). His paternal grandparents were James Walker (Cowkeeper-Carman - Stableman) and Harriett Light. He had five sisters named Martha, Anne, Eliza, Charlotte and Ada. He was the second oldest of the six children.
