Thomas was born in 1734 in Barking Essex and his christening took place on October 3rd, 1734 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.1   Thomas' father was Edward Stradling and his mother is Amie Linkhorn (or Elizabeth ???).  His paternal grandparents are Stradling and <Unknown>. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Edward, Edward, John, Richard, Sarah, Sarah , Ann, Susan and Hutchinson.  He was the second youngest of the ten children.  Thomas is no longer alive.
