John was born in 1767.  John's father was William £100 Skinner and his mother was SarahSusanna  Dowset.  His paternal grandparents were Ambrose Skinner (of Longbridge) and Ann Pittman. He had two brothers named William and Thomas.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 61 on August 21st, 1828.
