Martha was born about January 1738 in Barking Essex and her christening took place on January 22nd, 1738 at St Margarets Barking.1   Martha's father is William Reed and her mother was Rebecca Farthing.  Her maternal grandfather was Jonothan Farthing and her maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. She had two brothers and a sister, named Joseph, Wiilliam and Elizabeth.  She was the second youngest of the four children.  Martha is no longer alive.
